Self Esteem, if you believe all the media, seems to be lacking in Society today and that may be the reason for aspiring Businesses to be suffering in growth.

What Is Self-Esteem?

Sel Esteem an dour pperception of who we areMany people are unaware of the true definition of self-esteem.

It is much deeper than self-confidence and even deeper than believing in one’s self.
Truthfully, self-esteem is a measure of one’s self-worth and self-respect.
It is important to realize that you are worthy of happiness, of love, and of every good in the world.

Where does Self-esteem start?

A lot of times low self-esteem begins somewhere during childhood.
There might have been a tragic event, abusive behavior either towards the child or within sight, or it could be learned from a parent.
Other times a tragic event or setback can cause low self-esteem.

Many early theories suggested that self-esteem is a basic human need or motivation and theorists (Academia) have classes Self Esteem into two areas.

  1. The need for respect from others,
  2. The need for self-respect, or inner self-esteem.

I personally subscribe to #2 being the most important.

  1. Self-esteem does come from inside and is fed by personal strength. We all have moments of low self-esteem but having the a fighter instinct inside your heart and soul can raise self-esteem to amazing heights.
It’s not asking yourself if you can do something but telling yourself you will do something.
    Just thoughts.
